Colleen Quinnell, Art Director at Selling Power asked me to shoot an environmental portrait of Steve LeDuc, for a the "Decision Maker" section of the magazine... "Decisions, Decisions. How to find the real decision makers within any organization"

Lighting: Dynalite
Main light: Medium Chimera, camera Right, to replicate the direction of the Sun. Flag to block the sun off of the subject and help with the squint factor. Subject is standing on some equipment cases to raise up the height beyond the wall at the edge of the building.

Hasselblad 150mm lens with an 81B & Polarizer filter
Exposure: 1/500 sec @ f/4
Film: Fuji Astia RAP 100
Photoshop: almost none.
Photo assistant: Lyle Moultrie

I scouted the location and liked the view from the roof of the building. We asked and were given permission to shoot there and it worked out great.

I like the quotes that Selling Power puts into the articles too:

"Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy." - Norman Vincent Peale.

"The individual is the central, rarest, most precious capital resource of our society." - Peter F. Drucker
